Joseph BRUSH [W4], believed to be the son of Thomas[W1] baptised on 2 May 1791 at All Saints church in Worcester served as a private soldier in the Royal Fusiliers from 1810 to 1818.
These are his discharge papers.
The service dates and regiment suggest that Joseph served in the Peninsular war and may after that have gone to North America, eventually returning via Belgium and France in 1818. See britishempire.co.uk for detail on the Royal Fusiliers' extensive action in that period.
